What the Brick Filter Means

The construction-material field may list Brick alone or alongside Frame, Concrete, Block, or Wood Siding. It does not measure how much of the home is brick or establish whether the brick is structural, veneer, or limited to part of the exterior. Photos and the listing description are a starting point. If the material matters to your decision, confirm it for the exact home during document review and inspection.

Verify the Exact Jacksonville Home

Start with the Duval County Property Appraiser search using the street address or ten-digit Real Estate number. Then check the Jacksonville Building Inspection Division property search and JAXEPICS for available permits, inspections, certificates of occupancy, or code-violation records tied to that address. Public records can identify documented work, but they do not establish the home's present condition or prove that every change appears in the record.

If wind features affect your comparison, ask for the current inspection and insurance documents. Florida's OIR-B1-1802 wind-mitigation form reviews roof and opening-protection features separately; the Brick listing field does not answer those questions.
